In Zanzibar, a dual legal system is used, which includes the Kadhi's Court that handles Islamic legal matters such as marriage, divorce, and inheritance, as well as the Civil Court, which deals with non-Islamic matters, including criminal cases and civil rights. This system ensures that the law respects the beliefs, cultures, and traditions of the people while providing justice for all, regardless of differences in religion, ideology, or social status
